The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.

  • Timothy C. Runyon, D.P.M.

    Dr. Runyon has been in practice in St. Petersburg since 1978, after residency training in Michigan. He was born in Illinois, and attended the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating cum laude in 1977. He is trained in all aspects of foot and ankle care, including surgery, wound care, diabetics, and sports medicine. He is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Podiatric Sports Medicine, and the Director of the Tampa Bay Sports Medicine Center. He is the past president of the Pinellas County Podiatry Society. He is on the adjunct faculty of the Bayfront Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program, and is the team podiatrist for the Tampa Bay Rays professional baseball team. He attends advanced training seminars regularly in order to bring our patients the newest, cutting edge technologies. He is a staff member at several area hospitals and surgery centers.

    Dr. Runyon has participated in triathlons and marathons and is an avid scuba diver / underwater photographer. He took all the underwater pictures you see in the office.

    Dr. Runyon has participated for over 20 years in Medical missions to Brazil, Guatemala, Peru, and Colombia

    Dr. Runyon has 2 children. His two sons are graduates of the University of Florida.

  • Felipe Peterson, D.P.M.

    Felipe Peterson, DPM was born in Brazil and moved to the United States with his family as a young boy. Maintaining strong ties to his family and culture while pursuing his education in the U.S. afforded him the opportunity to become fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish, which helps him better serve diverse patient populations. He is an active member of local churches and the communities in which he lives and works, and he currently serves as the team Podiatrist for the Hillsborough Community College baseball team.

    Felipe completed his B.S. in biology from a rigorous premedical track at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, where he also acquired experience in pharmacy. He then earned his DPM from Barry University in Miami, where he not only excelled academically, but also spearheaded numerous community service campaigns and held multiple student leadership roles, including Treasurer for both the Florida Podiatric Medical Student Association and the Hispanic Podiatric Medical Student Association, as well as Podiatry Student Ambassador. For his many community service efforts while at Barry, he was recognized and awarded the Barron Bagget Community Scholarship

    Felipe began his residency Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received intense training in Internal Medicine general and vascular surgery. He also gained valuable experience in intense and critical diabetic limb salvage. He went on to complete his residency in Larkin Palm Springs Hospital in Hialeah, Florida, where he acquired beneficial experience with trauma related surgery, reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery, and total joint replacements. While completing his residency, he was a guest lecturer for Palm Springs Hospital on several occasions, presenting on complicated topics such as Charcot arthropathy, diabetic foot ulcers, and fungal infections of the lower extremity. In addition, he served as a board member for the Miami Dade Podiatric Medical Association and a Young Physician Liaison for Miami Dade County, as well as raised awareness and funds for the American Diabetic Association.

    Since 2015, Felipe has been sharpening his clinical skills under the tutelage of Dr. Kyle Kinmon, one of the greatest foot and ankle surgeons in South Florida. He is not only a well-rounded physician, but also a brother, a husband, and a father to two puppies and one baby boy expected September 2020. Felipe Peterson, DPM, is both equipped and excited to serve all of your Foot and Ankle needs!

  • Jenifer N.
    Medical Assistant

    Jenifer N., our medical assistant, and receptionist is a certified x-ray and pharmacy technician. She has been a vital team member of the practice since 2017. A native Floridian, she was born and raised right here in St. Petersburg! She loves kids and has two young boys of her own. Once they are older, Jenifer plans to go back to school to study nursing. She aspires to become a registered nurse and work in the NICU. She enjoys spending her free time with friends and family. She believes that there is nothing better than quality time with good company and good food!

  • Ivonne
    Assistant Manager

    Ivonne was born in Peru, and she graduated from St. Petersburg College with an Associates in Arts with Summa Cum Laude Honors. She is currently finishing her B.S. in Management with a minor in Health Administration at the University of South Florida. She enjoys talking with patients and helping them in any way they need. When she is not studying, she likes to travel and do mission trips in South America. She also loves dancing and trying new restaurants.

  • Jennifer H.
    Receptionist

    Jennifer H. is our receptionist and medical assistant. She was born and raised in California and knew from a young age that she wanted to grow up helping people. Jennifer has 7+ years of experience in the medical field providing care with a smile to all in need. She is currently studying to become an RN at St Petersburg College and is a licensed X-Ray Technician and a Pharmacy Technician. Jennifer enjoys cooking, watching a good comedy, and volunteering in the community in her spare time.
