Timothy C. Runyon, D.P.M.Dr. Runyon has been in practice in St. Petersburg since 1978, after residency training in Michigan. He was born in Illinois, and attended the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating cum laude in 1977. He is trained in all aspects of foot and ankle care, including surgery, wound care, diabetics, and sports medicine. He is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Podiatric Sports Medicine, and the Director of the Tampa Bay Sports Medicine Center. He is the past president of the Pinellas County Podiatry Society. He is on the adjunct faculty of the Bayfront Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program, and is the team podiatrist for the Tampa Bay Rays professional baseball team. He attends advanced training seminars regularly in order to bring our patients the newest, cutting edge technologies. He is a staff member at several area hospitals and surgery centers. Dr. Runyon is also a triathlete, marathon runner, and avid scuba diver / underwater photographer. He took all the underwater pictures you see in the office. Dr. Runyon regularly participates in medical missions, having gone to Brazil, Guatamala, and Peru to perform foot surgery and provide podiatric medical care to the people in these countries. Dr. Runyon has 2 children. His two sons are recent graduates of the University of Florida. Our staff of podiatric assistants and front office specialists are highly trained and always here to help with any questions you may have regarding the many types of care we provide, insurance regulations and coverage, or anything else you need to make your visit easier.
